John Alan Thompson is an award-winning film maker. His film SONGBIRD screened at The Sundance Film Festival and on The Sundance Channel and his short film BREATHE was a Student Academy Award finalist. His works have also been shown at Australia's Flicker Fest, Cinequest in Silicon Valley, and the Cleveland International Film Festival. Black White Black White is an experimental work and was previously selected for the Tribeca Film Festival competition. Illusory shapes form what appear to be figures in the shades of black and white, and yet at times, the viewer can almost sense the human intervention that is directing the movement in the frame.
In BURIED, another experimental film, Thompson has created a mysterious work that is shot from the point of view of something or someone being buried, yet it is never achieved.
